Your generosity helps train local church leaders for ministry. Many participate in a pastoral internship program that teaches biblical, healthy church principles.

Davyd* took part in this internship two years ago. The readings, discussions, and observations during his internship were so impactful that his ministry changed significantly.

Pastor Davyd returned to his fellowship and began preaching expositional sermons that focused directly on Scripture and applied it to daily life. He then began teaching other leaders in his area how to let God’s Word shape His people.

In addition to equipping local church leaders, your gifts help translate biblical resources into the local language and make them easily accessible through an app.

Some materials are also distributed via social media. New projects include works on biblical sanctification, expositional preaching, and Christian marriage preparation.

• Pray that churches use these resources for their spiritual growth and God’s glory.
• Ask the Lord to provide another translator and to give us wisdom in training new translators, so we can see a new generation who faithfully deal with Scripture.

Umar* clinched his jaw and steadied his eyes to hold back the tears in his heart. “Please forgive me for my pride,” he stammered. Quickly, the team of local pastors surrounded him, laid hands on him, and prayed.

Just three days earlier, the group began a yearlong internship program for new pastors that you made possible because of your generosity. But Umar did not see much of a need for this training. His self-confidence and lengthy experience made teaching him difficult.

Despite his prideful attitude, the Holy Spirit worked in Umar’s life to open his heart to faithful, biblical teaching.

You brought that training to Umar—training about how to lead and shepherd a flock, how to train them to thirst after God’s Word and share His with others.

This internship program prepares local believers to pastor effectively as they partner with healthy churches to observe, discuss, and reflect on how biblical churches function, are organized, and live out the Great Commission.

Now, Umar has become a leader among local pastors, not because of his skills but because he faithfully trusts the Lord to guide him.

Your obedience to the Lord is an example to Umar and other young pastors in this region as they learn to trust God’s provision and obey Scripture.

• Ask the Lord for wisdom as we train local churches on domestic abuse, which is common here.

• Ask God to direct us as we move into new cities here to begin sharing the gospel.
