After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 and a long season of closed doors, international Christian workers were finally able to enter Central Asia. Since then, the Bible has been translated into the languages of many post-Soviet countries, and thousands of people have come to know the Lord. However, the need is still great to get the good news to hundreds of thousands more who do not know about the love, forgiveness, and salvation Jesus offers them.
We want to see local churches become healthy and self-sustaining, which means they meet regularly, local pastors teach biblically-sound sermons, and congregations gain a solid understanding of the Bible as a whole story knit together. We want to see lives and families transformed by the goodness and truth of God’s Word. Right now, though, a lack of maturity and discipleship among believers prevents healthy church practices.

Your gift will go toward translating books and articles for discipleship, meeting space for pastor trainings, and online ads to promote our evangelistic website to nonbelievers. Your partnership will further the establishment of flourishing churches in this country for God’s glory.

Pastor Trainings
Two or three times a year our team puts together weekend trainings for local pastors. Your gift to this project cover the costs of renting space and providing food and transportation for those attending.
Translation of Biblical Resources
Your gift to this project will translate books, articles, videos, and podcasts that will help local believers deepen their understanding of their faith and grow in knowledge of healthy church characteristics. In addition, through these resources, general life topics will be addressed from a Christian point of view.
Ads for Scripture Website
One way our team distributes Scripture is through a website in the local language. Your gift will enable us to increase our advertising to increase our reach. We have seen our website views increase from hundreds to tens of thousands, and with your help, we hope to share Scripture and the gospel with thousands more!
Logistics and Consulting Services
We have gained experience and access to our people group as consultants on business projects throughout the country. Now, we are focusing on helping others who wish to learn the process of starting new businesses that open doors for the gospel. Your gift will help us provide logistics and consulting services. Together, we hope to multiply the reach of the gospel here!
Gospel Fluency
Sharing the gospel clearly, correctly, and fluently as we evangelize, disciple, and teach is our team’s top priority. Learning language and culture takes time, effort, and grace from the Lord. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering provides our basic language training, but your gift will provide our team with more language classes, tutoring, and language-learning materials as we seek to be faithful and grow in gospel fluency.
Expanding the Gospel’s Reach
Our work results in a lot of travel as we seek to share the gospel, disciple new believers, nurture churches, and develop leaders. Your gift helps us get to the people who most need the gospel and discipleship. It also enables us to attend trainings so we can grow in the missionary task ourselves by sharpening personal skills, biblical knowledge, and application.
Umar* clinched his jaw and steadied his eyes to hold back the tears in his heart. “Please forgive me for my pride,” he stammered. Quickly, the team of local pastors surrounded him, laid hands on him, and prayed.
Just three days earlier, the group began a yearlong internship program for new pastors that you made possible because of your generosity. But Umar did not see much of a need for this training. His self-confidence and lengthy experience made teaching him difficult.
Despite his prideful attitude, the Holy Spirit worked in Umar’s life to open his heart to faithful, biblical teaching.
You brought that training to Umar—training about how to lead and shepherd a flock, how to train them to thirst after God’s Word and share His with others.
This internship program prepares local believers to pastor effectively as they partner with healthy churches to observe, discuss, and reflect on how biblical churches function, are organized, and live out the Great Commission.
Now, Umar has become a leader among local pastors, not because of his skills but because he faithfully trusts the Lord to guide him.
Your obedience to the Lord is an example to Umar and other young pastors in this region as they learn to trust God’s provision and obey Scripture.
